Purebred Show/Sale

The 2008 Sioux Empire Farm Show is proud to host purebred shows/sales for six breeds of cattle. The breeds showing/selling at the 2008 Sioux Empire Farm Show are: Angus, Charolais, Hereford, Limousin, Red Angus and Simmental. The champions of each of the breeds are eligible to compete for the $12,000 Supreme Row purse, sponsored by the Tri-State Neighbor, Wells Fargo Bank South Dakota, N.A. and Campbell Supply Co. The Supreme Champion bull and heifer over all breeds will split the $12,000 purse, with $3,500 going to the consignor and $2,500 going to the buyer. It is expected that nearly 300 head of cattle will be consigned to the shows/sales. The Purebred Shows/Sales take place on Wednesday, January 23 and Thursday, January 24th.

Supreme row judging will take place Friday, Jan. 25, at 8 a.m. The winners will be announced at the Mayor's Round-Up & Sale of Champions later that evening.
